Privacy Policy

Shed Suite LLC (“Shed Suite”, “we”, “us”) builds business software for the shed and portable-building industry. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

It covers shedsuite.com and its subdomains, the Shed Suite application, and the dealer, supplier, driver, and rent-to-own portals we operate.

Whose data this covers

Shed Suite handles two different kinds of personal information, and your rights differ depending on which applies to you.

  • Information we control. Details about our own users and prospects — the people who visit our website, request a demo, and administer a Shed Suite account. We decide how this information is used, and this policy governs it.
  • Information we process for our customers. When a shed business uses Shed Suite, it loads in data about its own buyers, dealers, and staff. That business decides what to collect and why; we handle it on their instructions. If you are a customer of a business that runs on Shed Suite, contact that business to exercise your rights — we will refer your request to them.

Where we have a written agreement with a customer that sets out these roles and responsibilities, that agreement governs as between us and them.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories:

  • Account and contact details — name, business name, email address, phone number, job role, and the location or dealer lot you are associated with.
  • Billing information — the details needed to invoice you and collect payment. Cards are handled by our payment processor: Shed Suite stores only a tokenized reference, and full card numbers never touch our servers.
  • Business records you enter — quotes, orders, inventory, production and delivery records, signed documents, and rent-to-own contracts. These often contain personal information about your customers.
  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring pages, access times, and the pages and features used.
  • Support communications — the content of messages you send us and records of help requests.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — described in our Cookies page.

How we use it

  • To provide, operate, secure and support the platform.
  • To process payments, generate contracts, and deliver the features you use.
  • To authenticate users and detect or investigate suspicious activity.
  • To respond to support requests and send service messages about your account.
  • To improve the product — understanding which features are used, diagnosing faults, and measuring performance.
  • To send marketing about Shed Suite products and events, where you have opted in or where we are otherwise permitted to. You can opt out at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell, rent or lease personal information. We do not use the business records our customers store in Shed Suite to train artificial-intelligence models for the benefit of other customers.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf — hosting, payment processing, email and SMS delivery, analytics, and customer support tooling. They are bound by contract to use the data only to provide those services.
  • Within your organisation — access is role-based, so what a dealer, sales rep, driver, or office user can see is determined by the permissions your administrator sets.
  • Rent-to-own finance partners — where you use RTO features, the contract and payment information necessary to administer the agreement.
  • Professional advisers, and authorities where we are legally required to disclose.
  • A buyer or successor, if Shed Suite is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Where your data is processed

Shed Suite is a United States company. The service is offered in the United States and our infrastructure is operated there. Members of our team work from the United States and from Europe, so your information may be accessed from outside the country you live in.

If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection law differs from your own. If you have a question about how your information is handled, email admin@shedsuite.com.

Security

We take security seriously and apply measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data:

  • Customer data is isolated at the database level and access is enforced on every request, not merely hidden in the interface.
  • Traffic is encrypted in transit.
  • Accounts support two-factor authentication, recovery codes, session management, and login-risk monitoring.
  • We store only a tokenized reference to a card. Full card numbers never touch Shed Suite servers — when a payment needs to be taken, we call the processor with that token.
  • Every order carries an activity timeline recording who did what and when.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it. Some records — contracts, payment and tax records — are kept longer where law requires.

Where we process data on behalf of a customer, we keep it for as long as their agreement with us provides, and delete or return it when that agreement ends.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent you previously gave.

You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Service messages about your account are not marketing and will still be sent.

To make a request, email admin@shedsuite.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Shed Suite is a business product and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and the law change. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will give notice through the product or by email.
